Different Reasons

I recently spoke with another SIDS dad. His son died in February of this year. It got me thinking that I need to reopen my blog for more positive reasons. No longer am I going to be speaking to Colin, and no longer am I going to be trying to call out all those I find out-of-touch, off-base, or simply ignorant or rude. I probably will not even post all that often, but after speaking to this man, it reminded me that with so few resources for Dads out there, I should at least leave my resource (as selfish and self serving as it was at times) out there for any other Dad to read and maybe find some information for which he may have been searching. So, Colin's Corner is back, but for different reasons. Hopefully, a more positive attitude can lead to more positive support for any Dad out there who may need it. Finally, for those Dads (especially SIDS Dads) who want someone to talk to or even yell at without fear of ridicule, reprisal, or reproach, feel free to email me and I will be happy to trade mobile numbers and do what I can to help. My journey has been long and difficult and many Dads helped me. It is time for me to get back to helping others in a positive way.

  1. Welcome back.

I am *still* blogging, 2 1/2 years after losing Catherine. We also have a new little person, who has just started walking. Some of my reason is to not disappear just as you start to feel better. I think it is important to share how things improve too. Yet, I also blog because I need a place that's mine for my grief. It's still raw. I has only been 2 years.
