Identity Theft

This post is intended for and directed at the reprehensible and cowardly scumbag that decided to use my son’s Social Security number for their taxes, thus setting off a chain of events and phone calls to every three-letter government agency that could possibly help stop this identity thief. Well, Mr. Thief, I hope it is all worth it since now the FTC, IRS, SSA, FBI, MD State’s Attorney’s Office and a few other agencies all the way down to local law enforcement know what kind of pathetic weasel you are. For what would possibly amount to a few thousand dollars, you have now put a very huge bulls eye on your chest. I hope you are proud of yourself knowing that you have taken a part of my dead infant son from me…a part that may seem insignificant to you but means a great deal to me since I have very few things left of him.

Here is the short list of what you have stolen, other than his Social Security number…my piece of mind, any good nights sleep I was beginning to have, the feeling that I can somehow still protect my children in life or death, and even more of my faith in humanity. It is a pretty impressive list for someone who thinks they just stole a nine-digit number.

Here is the very short list of what I am going to take from you when one of these agencies finds you…your freedom…for as long as the law allows. You had better hope the law finds you first because they will have more mercy on you than I will. See, you are the first person in life I have ever wanted to seek revenge upon. You are the first person I have ever wanted to see suffer, and you are the first person who I want to personally escort to the gates of hell for taking something so precious to me.

It will take time, and the wounds you have reopened will eventually close again, but you will be found…you will be prosecuted…and you will have to stand in front of whatever god in which you believe and explain why your sorry ass should not burn for eternity. As with what I said about the law…pray that God gets you before I do…he will show more mercy than Colin’s Daddy ever will.

so sorry this happened. i keep up on your blogs but I had to have emergency surgery and was in the hospital from last Tuesday until Friday. So so sorry you have to go through all of this too after everything you have been through already. I also believe the new pregnancy was going to get some piece of mind back but I am sure it put you a few steps back.

  3. It’s sad you had to deal with this, which brought back the painful memories again. This goes beyond just stealing someone’s identity and ruining their credit history – this is defaming the memory of a child, an act that warrants the exertion of the full extent of the law. Also, this is why we must be quick to notify major credit bureaus when someone passes away. But don’t let your emotions take over your being. Show strength and contain yourself instead. It would seem that identity thieves have no care for the state of the person they are stealing from, as long as they can get their money. -->Annie Valdez
