Here is a word that, in all of its passive-aggresive glory, makes me hate every person who uses it. This word shows that people do not have the nerve to say what they really think, so they hedge their bets by saying you probably did or did not do something.
You probably did nothing wrong.
It probably was not your fault.
He probably would have died anyway.
You should probably go fuck yourself! For those who have doubts, think I killed, or may have contributed to killing my son, or just do not have the courage or conviction to say something to me face-to-face, you probably will burn in the same hell as me. So, it sucks to be you that I am probably right. Do you see why I hate that word so much now? Probably not.

ReplyDeleteI hate that word too. But I know I have used in the past and now I know how much it hurts. I dont think anyone realize how much guilt we already feel. Im sorry.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you feel so all of this additional torture...as if losing Colin wasn't bad enough. There is SO much that gets said that just feels like an effing knife right in our hearts. You are a wonderful daddy. No "probably" about that.
